June opening for Sg Buaya interchange, NST, 8 Sept 2012

RAWANG: Motorists from northern Selangor can expect to cut their travelling time to the Klang Valley by an hour when the Sungai Buaya Interchange is completed by June.

Works Minister Datuk Seri Shaziman Abu Mansor said work on the 1.5km-long interchange, which began last year, was half-complete.
"At 52 per cent completion, we are running ahead of schedule."
"Normally, projects of this scale will take 21/2 years to complete, but with the commitment of the developers and PLUS Expressways Berhad, we have managed to speed up development to just two years," he said during a briefing on the progress of the project at the interchange's construction site, here, yesterday.
The completion of the interchange will benefit some 120,000 residents at Sungai Buaya, Sungai Choh, Rawang Utara and Serendah, which will provide a direct access route from Sungai Buaya to the North-South Expressway.
